Pearson Cash App Manager in Mandaluyong City, Philippines
Role Overview and Purpose
The Cash Application Manager will be responsible for leading a group of outsourced employees whose primary purpose is accurate and timely application of customer payments as well as month end closing activities. Pearson has approximately 100,000 customers and averages $400M+ in Accounts Receivable.
Key Deliverables
Leading an external team of cash appliers
Delivering sustained results that improve the timeliness and accuracy of customer payments
Building and implementing plans for delivery excellence and continuous improvement, including automation
Fostering a speak up culture of thought leadership and innovation within O2C based on Pearson values of Brave, Imaginative, decent and accountable
Driving operational change with stakeholders and the global process owner team
Being a model of collaboration and partnership globally across a diverse and heavily matrixed stakeholders
Promote a culture of transparency and accountability amongst the teams to ensure smooth delivery of goals and commitment, as aligned with the Pearson’s and Business Unit’s goals and objectives.
Skills/ Experience
Successfully stabilizing and substantially improving the quality of Accounts Receivables.
Building effective working relationships with Pearson stakeholders and leading for results with our business outsourcing partner.
At least 6 years’ experience in Finance, preferably directly in the Order-to-Cash function and specifically managing the cash application process
Experience with Oracle ERP
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with a strong ability to communicate and present information to all levels of management
Understand the principles of change management and demonstrated ability to champion and drive change
Experience in identifying, evaluating and managing risk and collaborating to drive issue resolution in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
High degree of integrity with demonstrated professionalism
Ability to identify key drivers for change and process improvements
Deliver performance goals against agreed upon metrics
