About English Language Learning:
In the English Language Learning (ELL) business unit, we aspire to become the world's leading destination to learn and improve English language skills. Our main focus is on committed learners from around the world, who are motivated by outcomes because they want to reach their full potential through learning English.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and executing test plans and test cases
Identifying and documenting defects and issues in the applications, working closely with QA and Development team members to resolve
Verify the functionality and performance of software products and applications
Developing and maintaining automated test scripts
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot defects and bugs, and working to resolve these issues in a timely manner
Participating in code reviews and providing feedback on code quality and testability
Documenting test results and defects, and providing recommendations for improvement
Creating and maintaining automated test suites to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Participating in release management processes

Technology (CISO, Architecture)

Qualifications & Skills:
8+ years of Agile ways of working, and software development cycle.
5+ years of experience in automation suites and manual testing
Knowledge/experience with automation tools such as Selenium or Katalon Studio
Proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Java
Understanding UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functionality and standards; proficiency in html, CSS, and Javascript
Familiar with API test strategies
5+ years with Agile and team collaboration tools such as JIRA, VersionOne, or Rally
Must have strong Leadership skills to support QA team members, and identify/resolve QA challenges
Effective communication skills to present reporting and updates
Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders who may have competing interests
Passion for education and learning
Operates as a self-aware, effective team player
Critical thinking skills to recommend original and productive ideas
Ability to work effectively with agility and resilience in a fast-paced environment
Skills / Competencies:
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, such as black box testing, white box testing, and regression testing
Ability to analyse data and information to identify patterns and trends that may indicate problems with the software
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage their time efficiently to meet project deadlines
Willing to learn new technologies and tools to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in software testing
Detail-oriented, analytical, and possess strong technical skills to ensure that the software meets the required quality standards
