Pearson Specialist/Principal Architect in Bangalore, India

We are looking for a principal Developer and Architect who has experience with building and architecting business solutions using modern architecture pattern. The successful candidate must be strong developer and architect who loves writing elegant code and building reusable software components which can scale to millions of users.
This role requires extensive web application, legacy data center, and cloud-infrastructure knowledge and hands-on experience. You will also need experience with automated security testing tools across SAST, DAST, and SCA and how to integrate them with application CI/CD pipelines.
Purpose of the position
As a Principal Developer and Architect, you will be responsible for architecting, building and deploying highly scalable and reliable features, applications and systems. You will work with a variety of tech stacks such as Java and Go is not afraid to learn a new tool or language quickly. You are fearless technologist and build solutions which delight our customers. You may be asked to lead a small team of high performing application and system architects and developers, as the job demands.
Core tasks and responsibilities
Architect, build and deploy applications, components, and features.
Adopt and practice modern application engineering architecture patterns and practices
Build cloud native solutions.
Implement highly scalable, available, resilient, and secure solutions.
Research, POC and adopt new tools and technologies.
Stay abreast with emerging technologies
Required Skills, Experience, and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Computer Science.
8+ years experience across building highly available and highly secure web and mobile applications.
5+ years experience with Java and Micro Services Architecture.
Experience with one or more cloud providers such as AWS and Azure.
Experience with Secure coding practices
Knowledge of common attack scenarios and how to protect against them (i.e., OWASP Top 10)
Experience working in agile.
Experience with code repositories like GitHub, developer collaboration, hands-on experience with modern DevSecOps practice.
Experience implementing and working with protective monitoring and SIEM tools such as Splunk.
Current understanding regarding design-in security best practices.
